Oh Mort. Don’t try to have a conversation with someone you’re actively digesting. You can’t actually expect him to answer while he’s being smothered/drowned. That’s just rude. I started this page at the normal size and just couldn’t fit what I wanted on it, so I opted for a 2 page spread, but it the first four panels didn’t work as nicely as a vertical layout would have. The problem is Mort’s ears. They’re tall enough to stretch the panel size, and important because that’s where a lot of his emotions come out but they made the panels not fit on a normal 8.5x11 page right. Might try and rework it when i come around to color this page. I don’t hate this layout though, so who knows…
